In this tutorial you are going to learn how to change google doc margins, a process that is going to be familiar to those who have used Microsoft Office as it is very similar.
Step # 1 – Accessing Your Document
First of all you need to open the document that you are going to edit. Navigate to Google Drive at “www.drive.google.com”. From here locate the file that you want to open in the list and click on it. Here we are opening “Embed example”.
Step # 2 – Changing the Margins
The document will load in a new tab and you can see the ruler above the document. At each end of this ruler there are different adjustment options. In the left margin you can hover your mouse over the three different options, “Left Indent”, “First Line Indent” and “Left Margin”, click and drag these to change the various settings. On the right you have two options, “Right Indent” and “Right Margin”, once again simply drag these to adjust the margins. You can see as we do this the text changes place automatically to fit the new margin settings and that is how to change google doc margins.
