How to Change Font in WordPress

In this tutorial you are going to learn how to change font in WordPress which can be done through the installation of a plugin.



Step # 1 – Searching for the Right Plugin
Start by making sure you are signed into your WordPress admin area, by default you will be in the Dashboard view. From the menu on the left hover your mouse over the “plugins” option and in the sub menu that appears click “Add New”. On the page that loads enter “font” into the search box and press return.

Step # 2 – Installing the Plugin
A list of matching results will load and you need to click the “Install now” link underneath the first result. Click “OK” in the dialog box that appears. The plugin will then download and install and on the page that loads click the “Activate plugin” option.

Step # 3 – Accessing Font Settings
Now, hover your mouse over the “Posts” option on the left and click “Add new”. At the top you will see a notification which starts “Font plugin installed” – click on the link in this notification box. You will be taken to your WordPress site as it can be seen by others and you need to click “Font settings” at the top.

Step # 4 – Changing Font Settings
Several options will appear and you need to click the “Pick an element from the page” option at the top. Then use the mouse to select the text from the page that you want to change, here we are choosing the main header. In the dialog box that appears give it a name. In the top right click “Font” and choose a font type from the list that appears, select a subcategory and then finally choose the font that you want. The font will change then close the font box and click “Save”. The font options will close and your font will have been updated and that is how to change font in WordPress.
