How to Format Excel Number in Thousands



To format excel numbers in thousands, select cells.
Select the cells to format

Choose Format. Click Cells.
In menu choose format > Cells

Click the “Number” tab.
Click the number tab

From Category List choose “Custom”.
Click the custom option

In Type box enter 0, (zero comma). *To add values in millions, add another comma: 0,,
in the type box enter 0, Each comma you add will be a 0

You’ve now formatted excel numbers to thousands.
cells should now be formatted accordingly
