In this video tutorial we will show you how to install avast on Ubuntu.
In order to install avast on Ubuntu, open the Mozilla web browser. Type “avast.com”. On the following web page, click the “Home” tab. On the next web page, click the “For PC” tab and in the popup menu select “avast! Linux Home Edition”.
On the following web page, press “Download”. In the appeared window, select “avast! Linux Edition(DEB package).
On the following window, choose the “Open with Ubuntu software center” option and press “Ok”. When the download is completed, “Ubuntu Software Center” will launch automatically. On the revealed window, press “Install”.
In the next authentication window, enter your administrative password and press “Authenticate”. During the installation process you can see the warning window “The package is of bad quality”, press “Ignore and Install”. Wait until installation process will be completed. Now, your Avast! Antivirus is installed on your Linux system.
