In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to read Facebook as RSS.
Step # 1 – Downloading Feedly
First, go to “www.feedly.com” of whatever RSS reader you prefer. If you don’t have an RSS reader, we would recommend using Feedly, you can easily sign into it with a Google account.
Step # 2 – Grabbing the Facebook RSS Link
Now, go to the page you’d like to grab an RSS Feed from, for this tutorial we’ll use the Pepsi Facebook page. Their page link is “https:// facebook.com/pepsiUS” so we’re actually going to take the “pepsiUS” and put it on the end of “https://graph.facebook.com/” and navigate to that page in the browser. Look for the line in the middle that says “id:” and copy the number into Notepad, in this case being 56381779049. Now take this link: “https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=PAGEIDHERE&format=rss20” and replace the PAGEIDHERE with the ID from the page you’d like a feed from. Once you have created the link copy it to your clipboard.
Step # 3 – Adding the Link to Feedly
Now go back to Feedly and click “Add Content”. In the search bar paste the link we just copied and wait for the result to load below, click the plus icon next to the result and then click “Add”. The feed will be added and you can now see the result in the Feedly interface.
That’s it, you now know how to read Facebook as RSS.
