How to Make Money on Youtube

Google and Youtube.com allows you to monetize your videos so that you
can begin making money off of the ads that are placed in and around your
videos. In this video, we will discuss how to activate monetization in your
Youtube account so that you can begin making money off of ads.

Google Adsense allows you to track how much money you’ve on
Youtube

The first thing you will need to do is establish a Google Adsense account to
connect your Youtube account to. Google Adsense is Google’s money
tracker that allows you to see how much you’ve made per day on ads.
When you’ve reached a specific money threshold, Google will mail you a
check in the amount that you have made that month. If you do not have an
account yet, visit Google.com/Adsense. click on the top right corner to
setup a free account.
Next, go to Youtube.com and log into your account

Once logged in, click on your username in the top right corner. A drop down
box will appear with several options.
Click on “Video Manager” under your account name

Click on the “Video Manager” link. Here you will see a list of all of your
uploaded videos on your Youtube account.
Click on ‘Get Started’ to begin monetizing your videos

At the top of this list, you will see a blue box with information about
monetizing your videos. Click on the button to the right inside this box that
says, “Get Started”. A box will pop up stating Youtube’s Terms and
conditions, and will ask you to agree in order to continue.
On the next page, choose how you would like your ads to show up
on your videos

On the next page, Youtube will ask how you would like to place your ads in
your videos.
Select which ones work best for your content.
In the Video Manager, you will now see a Green icon which will
allow you to turn on monetization on your videos

Once Monetization is activated, you may go through your videos in the
“Video Manager” and click on the “cash icon” in the information of each
video.This will allow you to activate that video for ad monetization. If there is
not a cash icon next to a particular video, this is usually because Youtube is
under the assumption that you do not own the digital rights to a particular
piece of media in your video.

Under the ‘Settings’ tab, click on Monetization>How will I be paid?><br />
and click on ‘associate an Adsense account’” /></center><br />
The last step to Monetize your Account is to link your Google Adsense<br />
account with your Youtube Account.<br />
While in the “Video Manager”, click on the “settings” option in the top right.<br />
In the menu on the left, click on “Monetization” under “Channel Settings”.<br />

A list of questions will appear on the screen. Click on the “How will I be
paid?” option to dropdown more information.
Click on the “associate an AdSense account” link.
Now click, “Use an Existing Adsense account”, and enter your personal
information. Once your information matches an adsense account, your
Youtube account will automatically populate with your Adsense account
number.
