In order to switch between the applications on Mac, a few apps have to be open. Now, just by holding down the “Command” key and pressing the “Tab” key, the icons of your active applications will be displayed in a mini-dock on the screen, waiting for you to pick the one you want. Also you can use a mouse to switch between the applications.
