How to View the Unread Messages in Gmail



In this tutorial you will learn how to view the unread messages in Gmail.
Step 1. Log in to your Gmail account.

Step 2. In the search box, type: is:unread, or label:unread. Hit Enter.
Gmail displays you a list of all the unread messages.
type: is:unread, or label:unread

Step 3. If you want to refine the selection, try is:unread label:inbox. Start the search.
Gmail will display all unread messages in the folder Inbox.
type is:unread label:inbox
