In this tutorial you are going to learn how to change font in Outlook 2007 so that your emails are sent with a different font as standard.
Step # 1 – Viewing the Current Settings
First let’s have a look at what are default settings are by clicking on the “New” button in the top left of the Outlook window. This will open up a new email window and you can see when we begin to type that we have the font settings on Calibri with a size of 11, this is what we are going to change.
Step # 2 – Selecting a New Font
Close the email message and choose not to save it. Click “Tools” in the main menu and then click “Options”. From the tabs at the top of the window that opens click “Mail Format” and then in the section that loads click “Stationery and Fonts”. Under the “New Mail Messages” section click “Font”. Select a new font and style and size if you wish, then click “OK”, click “OK” again in the previous two windows to close them.
Step # 3 – Checking the Change has Worked
Now let’s quickly check to make sure that the font settings change has gone ahead. Click the “New” button again to compose a new message and in the message start typing again and you can see that the font is now the one we just specified.
