Step # 1 – Go to the Personalize Option
To get started on how to change default fonts in windows 7, right click on the blank desktop and open the “Personalize” option from the menu by clicking on it. This will open up the “Settings” panel where you can change various display option of windows and its interface.
Step # 2 – Go to the ‘Windwos Color Settings’ Panel
Once you have clicked on the “Personalize” option from the menu, a new window will open. In this window, you will find many options and tools through which you can alter ‘Windows Display Settings’ and other visual options. At the bottom of this display panel, you will see an option named as “Windows Color”. Click on this option to open its detailed settings panel.
Step # 3 – Go to the Advanced Appearance Settings Panel
Once you have clicked on the “Windows Color” option, you will be redirected to a new window. In this window, you will see different color palettes to choose for your display and windows appearance. There are few other options available as well which allow you to customize windows display. In this window, click on the “Advanced Appearance Settings” option which is available at end of the window. This will bring up the advanced control panel for Windows display and other settings.
Step # 4 – Choose your desired fonts and style
In the next step, a new settings panel will open in front of the screen. This is the “Windows Color and Appearance” settings panel. It offers many options through which you can easily change your windows display and appearance according to your desired color and size. You can also choose different fonts and its styles for your display. Here choose your required items like “Active Title Bar”, “Inactive Title Bar”, “Message Box” and other items then choose your desired fonts that represents your style best. After choosing fonts, you can also choose its size, colors and styles according to your preferences. Once you have selected your required fonts, click on the “Apply” button to save these settings. At the end, click on the “OK” button to exit from the Settings panel.
Step # 5 – Save your Settings
In the last step, you will be redirected to the previous window which is the main settings panel of “Windows Color and Appearance”. In this window, click on the “Save Changes” button which is located at the bottom right corner. This button will allow you to save all your display settings and set default fonts according to your selection and choice.
